Well, I was close to getting a job. Went on a interview last week and was told I would get a call either way this weekend. I sent a thank you email and letting them know I will work more hours. I have not received the 'either way' phone call, much less email from them. Not getting the job is frustrating, but not more then people not doing what they say they would do. It shows respect to send a thank you. I've done everything I can on my end, but I'm puzzled on the no response from others. Many years ago, our word equaled its weight in gold and a hand shack was the contract. Some where along the line that practice was forgotten. If I do hear from them today, I'll let everyone know. I keep plugging along in my search for work.
I did finally hear from them. And it is nice to know for sure that I didn't get the job and stop wasting so much energy wondering.
