Lovin It!

Well, I'm finally at a stopping point until monday. I'm in Steamboat for the very time in my life. Drove up highway 131 and that in itself was a very interesting drive. Not one will find me doing in the dead of winter. The Yampa Valley is an Awesome place!!! Got my very cool tent set up (with an argument of course) and very happy with it. Not sure the best way to set it up yet, but I will figure it out. And yes, I am writing this from my camp site. I Love my internet access thru Alltel. Worth Every Dime! My site is close to the 'play ground' and there are 20 kids (under the age of 18 having their evening meeting. I really wasn't planning on spending this much for camp, but happy I did. In a camp ground on the edge of town with bus service to town. :D

My beer is yummy; Durango Blueberry Wheat Ale! Paid 5 bucks of a single. Its okay, I didn't want a 6-pack.

Yesterday was an expensive day, I got too hot and got sick, so I had to pay for a hotel room to get better. I left Cortez, headed for Moab and checked it out. Hadn't ever stopped and walked main street before. Cute town for a tourist trap!!! By the time I got the GJ, it was 95 degrees and I was cooked. Tried to cool off at the mall but only got sicker. I have pictures from yesterday and today, but still on my camera. I am get them load tomorrow sometime. Am I the only one that notice the phallic symbol outside of Moad to the west wall heading north or what? :-> If I had a picture of it, it would need no explanation!!!

Okay being the joyful light weight that I am when it comes to beer, I'm half done and sporting a good buzzzzzzzz! I'm going to sleep GOOOOOOOOD tonight! I really don't need a pint + 6 ounces; Oh Well!

The camp fires smell AWESOME. Well,. I guess its time to check my email, if there is any.

All Moved Out!

Well, I've been reduced to my car and just going with the flow on where to go from here. Currently waiting in a big parking lot to do a follow-up on my last inspection job. I got too much sun today, so not very energetic about cruising around this afternoon. I didn't get lunch either, but did I get subway for a late lunch. Guess I'll figure it out from here.

Road Trips Posts

With no real direction in mind for the days I need to rediscovery of self, I may or may not post here. If there is something I want to share, then you may see something here. Plan, I have no plan past getting my stuff into storage and reduce my belonging to what I need in the car. I recall the time I had on my road trips allowed me to heal and learn to smile again. That is my plan right now, time in the car to heal and learn to smile again.

Happiness

Happiness to me is having friends in my life and financially supporting myself. I remember when I had friends and I was happy. They were people who needed me outside of my blood relatives. I haven't had friends in 5 years and I miss having them. I moved to school and everyone was on their cell phone or in their groups smoking cigs and frankly didn't have room for anyone new. So, I went to school and I went home. After giving it some thought, I'm not sure living in town would have changed that situation. Well, the job market fell out of the bottom out east so I moved back to where I knew I had friends. Well, they had their own lives and didn't have room for me either. I made contact with them all several times and it just wasn't the same. By this time, I was so desperate for buddies I was most likely acting like a complete fool in trying too hard. Well, for the past year I've lived some place where I have neighbors and they're nice people. However, for some odd reason none of them speak to me much less look in my direction when I'm outside. Go figure! I'm out of here and out of my element, out of my comfort zone to kick start me. Wish me luck on my venture to get a life built someplace else. Meeting new people, making friends and working to support myself again. I'm not saying I don't want help or need anyone. I'm saying that I've haven't been on my own in a few years and forgotten how to do it and this is where I remind myself how to do it. Hugs

Update

Hi All,

I'm still here. Playing tug-a-war between my business and paying jobs. As soon as I get a 'sorta' plan worked out, a job I've been asking the sky's for months has appeared in the paper. Well, the tug-a-war begins. I welcome thoughts on this tug-a-war.

One Year Later

Well, this past year has been a roller coaster. My best friend has been gone for a year now and now ready for a new friend to come into my life. I can't type here how I feel because it wouldn't come out right. Everyone have a good Mother's Day!
