Well, I've been trying different ways to help myself feel better in many ways. Well, my breakfast is my normal 3 Weetabix, wheat germ and raisins swimming in soy. My lunch is brown rice and chicken, spiced with garlic (cooked in) and pepper only. My dinner has all my veggies and meat (chicken or lean ground beef).
After 3 days of doing this, several things started to happen.
One, I stopped having Flatulence issues while at work, which is Huge weight off my mind.
Two, I realized that I started to feel better all around.
Three, while doing this I was checking my weight every morning to see what was happening there, and I've lost 3/4 of a pound in 3 days.
Four, my clothes started to fit better.
Maybe, I can keep this going. Once I get to a place where I can have my treat dinner (what every I want), I will have my treat dinner once a week.
Now, I'm getting my vitamins every morning and a healthy stir fry at dinner with lots of veggies. I don't have butter in my house, olive oil only, so only healthy fats. It's tough watching everyone heat up yummy lunches at work, fast food, frozen meals with yummy smells, but I like the way I feel after I eat. I don't hurt after my rice and chicken lunch. I don't know the walking mileage I get at work, but I do move through out the day.
Well, Hope that helps others who are struggling with flatulence issues.

Snow in My Moms Yard
January 22, 2010
Its Friday
Not much to report. A couple of new feet in the mountains since monday. Had a nice day off and go back today. All the passes in this part of the state have been closed due to weather since last night. Some of schools are closed today. Wind was blowing pretty good last night and will see the snow drifts on my way to work this morning. I guess we'll get more today and this weekend. It will be so nice to have full ponds this summer, green trees, tall hay fields and flowing creeks and rivers. Still riding around with my other tires on the back seat of my car to give me more weight so I can stay on the road with the wind gusts we're having. I'm pretty light weight and 45 mph gusts on ice with no weight is scary. I'll pull the tires out once this series of storms have passed.
Can't wait for the lat night tv fights to stop. I'm not a fan of late night tv, so I'm sick of the whole drama. There are more important things going on then feeding the drama between those two guys.
I can happily say that I don't support big banks. My bank is a small country bank and will stay a small country bank. I think the bonuses being handed out should feed the 900,000 people on unemployment for a year instead.
It sounds like we're in for 4-8 more inches of snow today.
I better get. Everyone have a good friday.

Flatulence
What in the hell is "Flatutence" you ask? It is excessive FARTING!!!!! Noisy-Smelly FARTS and LOTS of them. For the past year, I thought that I was sensitive to MSG's. Well, being in a office all day with others and the all FARTING is making me crazy...... ....... ...... Taking a break and walking out to the car only bring more attention to myself..............
All the information I'm going post here is from Jean Carper's book "Food-Your Miracle Medicine", pages 138-142.
Caused by sugars, starches and fiber.
Highly gassy foods: broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, dried beans, peas, milk/dairy, onions, rutabagas, soybeans, & turnips.
misc: Sorbital & low-calorie sweeteners.
Moderately Gassy foods: apples, bananas, bread & pastas (white flour), carrots, celery, & eggplant.
Not So Gassy foods: eggs, fish, meat, oils, poultry & rice.
Well, no one can live off of rice and chicken alone, so I guess I'm buying some peppermint tea and making sure I add ground pepper to all my meals. Pepper helps the digestive system and peppermint helps the whole system. Ginger works too, but I'm not a fan of ginger.
Now that your done laughing, .......... Good luck on cutting back on your flatulence....
Hugs
PS. Foods high with MSG are only allowed on my days off.......................
UPDATE: Peppermint Tea Works Very Nicely after a meal with foods listed above.

Tax Season
Well, its here folks, Tax Season. For the next 6 weeks I'll be up to my elbows in paperwork and the owners of that paperwork doing taxes. So, it maybe a while before I get another post done. Life is good and I have no complaints, thus far.
Keep looking forward and put one step in front of the other. Most of all everyone stay warm, seems everyone is cold right now. Bring your pets inside so they don't freeze either. They may have a coat, but they're still in danger of freezing to death.

1-1-10
Well, its here... A New Year and now the real work beings for us all. For me, no matter how bad I want to share all my warm & fuzzies, I'm not going too. Why, they would no longer be mine to enjoy. So, I pass this onto everyone; we are not required to share everything within us and that includes all the things we are striving to improve in our lives. It's perfectly okay for all of us to enjoy our achievement of goals for a while before we hand them off to everyone else. Yes, there will be those who want to know how we are doing to improve our lives, like judges and court appointed officers in keeping us in check; well, that you have to sorta do, but be sure to enjoy it for "10 minutes" before you hand it over to someone else. Me, I've had a fabulous week, but thats all the info you get from me for awhile. :)
It was nice to get out of the house yesterday, I was able to come home and welcome the New Year in my bed alone, half awake in peace.
Good Luck everyone on your goals you're working on.
