Motorcyclist

Okay, I'm pretty sure I've written about bad behavior from motorcyclist in the past. I understand you may be on vacation and trying to enjoy a nice ride in the mountains or along the coast or your favorite road. I beg of you, Please Please don't leave your common sense at home... I had a few close calls due to groups of 5 and up on my last road trip and you almost got a bunch of people killed. You know that yellow paint on the road, it is there for a reason. If there is a double yellow line, that means it is NOT safe to pass at all. If there is a broken yellow line on your side, it is safe, but use caution. If there solid line and a broken on the other side, it means you can't pass and the other side can with caution. Blind corners are just that, BLIND. If there is a double yellow line and its on a blind curve, STAY where you ARE... It is not safe to pass. I was passing a family in my passing lane on a blind curve and double yellow line (2lanes west, 1lane east). The passing lane is for everyone on the west side ONLY. I'm sure this sounds boring, but IT WILL NOT KILL YOU to WAIT until it is safe for you to go again. Anyway, I'm passing a family car and I'm coming around the corner and there are 5 (five) bikes in MY passing lane coming at me. 4 got over in time, 1 well, the truck he was passing used the shoulder. Other wise I would have had my airbags for dinner. There was NO place for me to go. I had people behind me, couldn't slow down, family to my right. I was in it all the way. You better give thanks to the guy in the truck... 98% of you deserves zero respect from me. You're careless, selfish and dangerous. You do not have any right to ruin me day because you MUST pass who ever is in front of you when the roads are CLEARLY marked UNsafe... The 2% are my friends who NEVER take those chances. I do not care if you're the ceo of Acme.com or some dude down the road. You better think twice about making those moves because you have NO clue what is coming at you or what is in the road. There could have been a herd of elk and they Don't move for anyone. So, I beg of you, Please Please Please don't leave your common sense at home when your on your bike. What you do affects everyone around you, including your family at home... Be safe...

Just last night when heading out in my truck, I encountered 3 motorcyclist who were playing with traffic. At first they would occupy all three lanes creating a rolling road block, slowing traffic down 20 mph below the speed limit while zigzagging in their respectives lanes. Then they accelerated to well above the speed limit and would find a new group of motorist to impede.I watched all of this happen behind me for 10 miles before they finally managed to get in front of me and brake check me... There was no sense in it at all. Of course, Atlanta has a large amount of these guys on two wheels. Twice I have nearly collided with someone stunt riding at 90 mph on the interstate....
