Not Karma or Punishment

Can't say it's a karma deal or what did I do wrong. Truth is human beings caused the fall of our economy from everything from real estate to jobs to putting people on the street. So, 8 million people being out of work isn't karma or personal blame. It is however does fall on the greedy SOB's who only thought about expanding their dozens of bank accounts to allow them to play for the rest of their lives. The money put into these accounts was pulled right out of the pockets of the 8 million out of work. Middle class is gone as we know it. The US is now build of billionaires and everyone else going into debt to eat and keep a roof over the kids heads. Grandparents going hungry and cold to buy their medications and giving up their belongings to buy food. All this happened in a matter of months, the disappearance of the large group of middle class families. Now, the homeless shelters are full of these same middle class families. Those already living in the poverty levels are also in homeless shelters and even in the dark alleys of our streets. It rips my heart out to see people of all ages holding signs on the street corners begging for anything. What happened to acceptance, working for all, supporting each other in times of war? We not only have a war going on over seas, but we also have one going on here in our great nation. The one here is more taboo, the one no one wants to look at in the face or to except it as real. What happened to us?

Some quick math. This is an estimate of a single person's monthly bills. Most states minimum wage is $7.28/hour @ 40 hrs gross = $291.20. 160 hours/month=$1164.80 gross. Studio apt (avg) is close to $695/month and could be twice that amount. Utilities run about $300, on the mid to low range costs. Food depending on diet runs as low at $250/month. The ever increasing cost of cell phones (I'm guessing) run as high at $150/month. Cost of the vehicle to get back & forth to work runs about $600 a month (gas & insurance only would be half). That does not include medical bills, bad debt payments, school loans, cable bill, etc... With these kinds of bills, a single person is forced to find a job that pays double that $7.28/hour. If all anyone can get is minimum wage, then they're forced to find a 2nd full time job just to exist.

Me; I don't have a car payment, major medical bills, or school loans. My costs can't get any cheaper then where I have them now and I need $8.75 net/hour just to exist.

Mr. President, Please wage war on the situation here in the US and get everyone back to work and back on our feet.

Back to tears on the situation we're in. All of us who are out of work don't want pity, but simply the chance to prove ourselves that we are hard workers even if we do poorly in interviews. Simply compassion and respect for all of us are humans and we simply want to stand on our own two feet once again.
