Look Up

I have a funny memory this morning while watching the balloons trying their hardest to get free of the low pressure hold on them. Its a good thing I didn't wait to see them float by my windows, because I never would have seen them. This morning the breeze is carrying them south, not west like yesterday. Ponds, creeks and rivers are a magnet to hot air balloons, they are literality pulled to the earth while the pilot is fighting to keep the balloon out of trees, over head wires and other hazards.

One day in a park someplace, Kaci and I where taking a break from what ever we were doing and I found she was looking up towards the clouds. But she wasn't looking at the clouds, she was watching a jet flying high and taking its passengers to the paid destination. I can't imagine how she saw it, with the clouds. There was no com trail, just the plane. She watched for what seemed like 4 or 5 minutes. I asked her what she was looking and she just looked at me smiling wagging her tail. She was a funny pup.
